I started powerlifting-style training in my freshman year of college during the baseball offseason as a way of getting stronger for the spring. However, after injuries and eventually quitting baseball, lifting became a way to relieve stress and became my primary sport. Recently, I've transitioned over to more of a cross-training/weight-lifting regimine, but still regularly lift for strength.
